Bridging the Valuation Gap

In order to further enhance NAM's stewardship activities, we established the Engagement Department in November 2021 and revised the Proxy Voting Standards for Japanese Companies.(Click for further details.)
Through these initiatives, we will continue to deepen our understanding of our portfolio companies, while realizing a unified approach to engagement, proxy voting, and investment, to ultimately realize a virtuous cycle of investment.

Engagement Process

At NAM, we believe engagement is our most effective method of fulfilling our stewardship duties. Through the engagement process illustrated below, we are able to support corporate value improvement and sustainable growth, while encouraging Japanese companies to realize corporate value in line with their true potential.
